"I'd go hungry, I'd go black and blue. I'd go crawling down the avenue"
Make You Feel My Love, Bob Dylan
There was a distinct colour palette at Charlie Le Mindu and a powerful vision of Middle Eastern promise fit for any Aladin themed party. My favourite Le Mindu collection so far is definitely SS11 (see photos here) but I think the creativity and detail here really stands up well beside it.
The leader of the pack was most certainly the acrylic nail adorned dress, which not only commanded attention for it's intricate construction but also the superb fit. However, if any of the styling is to be translated to everyday life I really hope it's the Frida Kahlo monobrow. Who'd have thought it could look so beautiful?
Extra kudos go to two teams.
The model casters (I presume Charlie himself had large input here), as these girls not only knew how to walk but had the most incredible silhouette. Secondly, the PR team (ON|OFF) who assembled a who's who of cutting edge design. Diane Pernet, Pam Hogg and Nicola Formichetti ain't bad for your first show in Paris.
