My friend Julian tends to describe well designed clothes, which feel good to wear as 'easy'. I never fully understood what he meant, at least not from first hand experience. That is until I got some Adam Kimmel in my life. I think if there was one adjective to describe the consistent aesthetic of the now not-so-young brand, it would be easy.
Something that fits into my everyday life with ease. Something with a great knit, that doesn't snag the moment it sees a hanger. Something that actually moves as I walk. For me, every item in the Kimmel FW12 collection is easy. With a neutral colour palette, each item seamlessly steps over into the next: that shirt with that blazer, those pants with those braces. As a big fan of mixing blue, black and white, the star look for me is the energetic blue suit - double breasted with a touch of elegance.
