Tartan Week by iPhone
Last month I was asked by Carphone Warehouse to find my greatest moment captured by phone. After much deliberation, I selected this image taken in New York City for Tartan Week. These are the times when capturing something special is harder than ever. As the marching band moved north on 6th Avenue I ran through the barriers and across the parade - much to the dismay of the NYPD - to get this shot. With the sunshine behind their heads, cheering crowds and a celebration of my Scottish roots, it's a moment I'll never forget.
The reason for Carphone Warehouse's search for the greatest phone moment is inspired by Simon Wheatcroft, the blind marathon runner who uses his smart phone to help him run. Quite something. Carphone Warehouse are also offering the chance for readers to win a prize by sending an image or video for an amazing personal achievement. Click here for more info: http://bit.ly/19FFw4y
