A few months ago, I came across a new eyewear brand with a bit of a difference. SHAUN'S California aims to help the 285 million people worldwide who are partially sighted with their “Give Sight” program; each time a pair of sunglasses are sold, SHAUNS donate a pair of vision glasses for a person in a developing country. Not only this but with a Scottish founder I was even more drawn to the brand's story.
After discovering their designs, I was asked to photograph their British Lookbook bringing California ease to a London setting. Luckily there's no compromise in design with their ethical stance, so photographing the product was a breeze. As a fan of craftsmanship, it endears me to the designs even more to know that every pair is made in family-owned factories at the foot of the Italian alps. I hope to have captured the frames personal, authentic aesthetic in these photos. See the full shoot by clicking below.
