Bloomsbury Street Hotel, London Collections: Men
I may already be a Londoner but after experiencing a crazy schedule last season I decided to take a residency at the Bloomsbury Street Hotel over London Collections: Men. Shooting both backstage and street style can take it's toll so having a central location was the perfect solution. Luckily, the team at the hotel worked with me and as well as using it as the base for myself and my team, they offered to co-host a launch breakfast for the shows. It was then I realised that this was certainly the right choice of hotel as we dined beside the likes of James Sleaford, Bruce Pask and Olivier Lalanne. If it's good enough for Vogues Hommes and GQ, it's good enough for me!
This is a thank you post more than anything else. The team at Radisson Blu Edwardian were went above and beyond the call of duty, serving incredible food direct to my door to keep me doing between shows. Of course, being a 3 minute walk from the main show venues certainly helped my experience but a luxury bath, extra thick dressing gown and a huge comfortable bed to climb into at the end of each day made my life very easy. My only disappointment was not taking full advantage of the shoe shining and barber shop pop-ups taking place inside...there's always next season.
For now, signing off in my sumptuous bed...prepping for Pitti.
